Vacancy - Sales Administration Assistant

Salary: £18,000.00 to £20,000.00 /year

Thistle Rose Leisure specialise in the design and conversion of vehicles for the leisure industry - mainly in the conversion of VW Transporter and Transit Custom vans to high specification Camper Vans.

In addition to our design and conversion work we also hire out Camper Vans to customers simply wishing to enjoy the camper van experience, or who are considering a purchase and want to try out the specification of vehicle on offer from Thistle Rose before committing.

We have a vacancy for a Sales and Administration Assistant. This is a varied role created to assist the Directors with the smooth running of the business.

The role could be full time (37 hours including some Saturday mornings), but there is flexibility around hours worked so may be suitable for someone trying to fit a job into school hours, or even someone retired from their main profession, but still active and wishing to continue working with reduced hours.

Duties will include
  • Dealing with customer enquiries by email, phone and face to face in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Demonstrating vehicle features to walk-in customers and assisting them in selecting fixtures, fittings and finishes to meet their requirements
  • Checking component stock and ordering components as required for each build.
  • Picking components to the work station ready for the commencement of each build.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete files of purchase and sales invoices.
  • Handling supplier payments and customer invoicing.
  • Processing hire bookings ensuring that all requirements are met and recorded.
  • Completing hire handovers and returns.
  • Attending occasional events and exhibitions representing Thistle Rose Leisure.

This role requires
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and plan your own working day.
  • Strong customer service skills, friendly, approachable whilst also being professional, presentable and credible.
  • IT literacy - able to use main MS Office packages and an understanding of social media platforms - e.g. Facebook is desirable.
  • A cheerful, can-do attitude.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on responsibility for a wide range of tasks in support of a small but growing businesses.

Salary £18 -20k per annum depending on experience (pro rata for part time).
